Adventures with Sam

Now that Zach is back in school, Sam and I spend lots of time together... Although I think Sam sometimes prefers Zach as a playmate than me :) We went shopping today at one of my favorite stores hoping some items I want to buy have gone on clearance. I got a couple of things and a big bottle of glue. Sam was the glue holder and doing a fabulous job at it. We were looking at clothes and i was kind of around the other side of the rack and I heard Sam say "uh oh" and looked up to see what he needed. The kid had unscrewed the lid to the glue and it was oozing out of the bottle on his lap, in his hand, on Mr. Duck that we had to bring in with us and down the cart onto the floor! Incidentally there was another lady looking at the same things I was and she I guess didn't want to stick around to see what my reaction would be :)

I looked at Sam and said "I don't think that was a good idea." and headed to the customer service desk so I could leave my cart of finds and clean up my sticky gluey munckin.. all the while he's taking his other hand and dipping it into the glue and putting it on his check like it's lotion! The lady at customer service just laughed when I explained things and off we headed to the restrooms. It took us a few minutes to clean it up the best we could and Mr. Duck had to take a bath there too. We wiped off the cart too as best as we could and went and checked out. So if you happen to get a cart at one of my favorite stores that has glue residue.....I'm sorry and don't let the 2 year old hold the glue bottle!

I LOVE the time I have with Alex - he is my little buddy and I will miss it next year when he starts Kindergarten. I love the glue story - too funny! Too bad there were no pictures.

Homemaking 101

Does anyone else feel like it's time for a refresher course on homemaking 101? Maybe we should watch a few seasons of Leave it to Beave...
