Grateful

I happened to look at a friends blog today and at the top of her header she has a place where she puts what she's grateful for. Every time you refresh the page it changes. The first one I noticed was grateful for being included. It got me thinking... what am I grateful for today? I have so much to be grateful for. We have a nice house, a new car, good friends and neighbors, we're safe, our carport collapsing is really a huge blessing. You know just little things. Little blessings and tender mercies that we may not even recognize that we get every day because we have a loving Heavenly Father who wants to bless us for making good choices. So What are you grateful for today?

Look Who We Saw!

So while driving on the main road in the middle of a little town we saw this.

We of course had to pull over and take advantage of the photo op!

Did we get lost?

I knew I had been neglecting my blog but I hadn't realized it had been that long! I promise I haven't been abducted by aliens or even gotten lost in the amazon! I'm still here doing the things that I do every day. I was looking at the calendar today and realized that there are only three more weeks of school! It sure doesn't feel like that! Hum Where should I start? Maybe spring break would be a good place to start! Josh took a couple of days off during spring break and we headed to Grandma's house. It was cold but we had a lot of fun. Aunt Jeni and her frined Tiff came up with a treasure hunt and the boys loved it! Here's a few pictures.

They had some pretty fun bounty

One of the main reason's we went was to run a race together! We ran the Gunnison Valley Spring Run off. Everyone one ran... Okay at least a little :) Here's a few pictures!

More to come!

Lion King!

K so My Brother is Awesome! Aaron bought 6 tickets to Disney's Broadway production of The Lion King way back in like January. He thought it would be fun if all of us kids went to see it together so since there just happens to be 6 of us including my sweet honey we got to go! It was fun to have a "date night" with Josh and leave the kids although Zach would have loved it! It was so amazing! The costumes, the singing, the acting! It was so fun to do that. I think we'll have to do that again! My favorite part is right after intermission. The actors do this number and they are in the balcony, down on the floor and up on the stage. It's in credible. Did I mention we were like 2 rows from the back of the theater? It was fun and we could see everything that was happening on stage. I liked how they intermixed the songs from the movie and brought in more of the African influence. Oh and we got to go on August 13th the first Friday it was open! K Aaron you are seriously cool!

We Did It!

Since the last part of March Josh and I have been training for a 5K! I've wanted to do one for a while and finally got up the courage to do it. So today was race day! Of course we didn't take any pictures.. oh well guess we'll have to run another one huh :) But Josh was kind enough to kinda stick with me and we made it in 36 minutes! Pretty good for a "I'm not a runner or a track person ever in my life those people are crazy" person. It was cool to do it with Josh and to have the experience and now I can say that I ran one when I was 30! Happy day!

Homemaking 101

Does anyone else feel like it's time for a refresher course on homemaking 101? Maybe we should watch a few seasons of Leave it to Beave...
