Christmas

I've always wondered when it gets to be this time of year what really is Christmas. Now I know that it's the time when we celebrate the birth of our Savior, but you see the people come and go and get ready for Christmas with presents for everyone, even for people they barely know. The stress to have the house decorated just right and the worry that we look like we celebrate this beloved holiday. How much is too much? How much is enough? Sometimes I wonder if we really over celebrate the holiday. I'm not saying that I know what the magic quota is for presents lights and family activities. I just think it's worthy of contemplating what we really are celebrating and how we can enhance our Christmas experience. Maybe Christmas could be simpler. Maybe we'd not be so stressed if we made it simpler. Just some things to ponder on this Black Friday.

Homemaking 101

Does anyone else feel like it's time for a refresher course on homemaking 101? Maybe we should watch a few seasons of Leave it to Beave...
