Ahhh!

Okay so it's Tuesday and I just am beginning to realize that I have to play for sacrament meeting in 5 days! So lets not hyperventilate here..... I think we'll be okay but you never know... Heart failure could come at any moment.... Maybe I'll catch that flu bug that must be going around somewhere! Okay just kidding. We'll do all right. I took the day off from practicing and tried to do things around the house. Zach had two friends over Eliza and Kate and they had a great time. Kate has a little brother who's about 20 months old. Katie was eating a cookie at our house for snack and I wasn't paying attention and then I noticed that Sam was gagging. I picked him up patted his back and he was okay. I just thought that was strange what could he be gagging on? As I sat there with Sam Kate says, "He likes cookies. I gave him some and he smiled at me." :) (Here was my light bulb moment about the gagging) I said wow Katie that was nice of you to share with him but he can't eat cookies. He's too little he doesn't have teeth..... How big was the piece of cookie you shared? Like this she says showing me with her fingers.... It was the size of a small crumb... Thank goodness! So Sam's first food is not rice cereal like normal almost 4 month olds but a little crumb of cookie... I'm sure he did like it all that sugar...
On to Zach. Every night we put him to bed like responsible parents and every night we have to tell him to be quiet, go to sleep, hurry and get a drink and what ever else he can come up with. Well tonight we have the monitor on in the basement and all the sudden Zach is singing. I go put my ear to the monitor to see if I can tell what song it is but I can't. Then we here Sam squawk so Josh goes up there. He tells Zach to go to bed and asks him what song he's singing. This is what Zach told Josh. " Hmmmm.I don't know but my heart just told me I needed to sing." That kid is so funny. He comes up with some good explanations for things.. Like why are you bouncing on your bed? To get exercised.... Wow the mind of a 4 year old must be brilliant! Well I think that's about it for today!

Well Heather,
It looks like you've had an eventful couple days. I'm glad Sam is alright and that he is starting out non-traditional. Well Have fun this for the rest of the week and I'll see you on Sunday.

Homemaking 101

Does anyone else feel like it's time for a refresher course on homemaking 101? Maybe we should watch a few seasons of Leave it to Beave...
